About Kent
Kent is a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Counselor with over 20 years of experience serving youth, adults, and families in need of a variety of mental health treatments. Providing individual, group, and family therapy using a variety of counseling interventions to help clients with issues including Depression, Anxiety, Substance Abuse, OCD, ADHD, Marriage problems, Family Conflict, Axis II issues and more.
Kent graduate from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary now (Evangel University) in Springfield, MO with a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family therapy. He began working in the field by working in foster care with Catholic Social Service of Champaign. Over the years he has worked with Teen Challenge in Chicago, IL, and Mental Health Services of Clark County in Springfield, OH. While in OH, he completed an additional Master Degree level courses in counseling for licensure in Ohio from Wright State University. He also worked for multiple Business Crisis Counseling services, other private practice agencies, and had his own private practice in Oswego, IL.
He currently has licensure in IL and PA for MFT and LPCC. He has special training with Trauma, Crisis, Grief, and Substance Use and many years of face to face treatment with people experiencing these issues.
